ARMOR IIMAK
Project Background
The acquisition of IIMAK by the Armor Group necessitated a company-wide rebranding. As a result of this, the new ARMOR IIMAK logo and branding standards had to be implemented at their Amherst, NY facilities. A range of signs, including the monument sign in the front of the facility had to be updated, as well as adding and/or updating a number of directional signs to spruce up the campus. Additionally, the company's ownership wanted a bold new monument sign at the entrance to their facility to show off the new logo, as well as to highlight the facility to their employees and visitors.
Key Challenges
The ARMOR IIMAK facility in Amherst, NY presented a number of different challenge based upon the layout of the facility and the requirements that were set for this particular corporate sign package. The particular challenges included:
- The corporate logo needed to be updated cleanly on the facade of the building to represent the new branding, but there was challenging access to the facade.
- The corporate campus was spread across several different parcels of land, each populated with different buildings. The sizes of the buildings contributed to a complex permitting process.
Solution Proposed
The ARMOR IIMAK sign package consisted of a mix of different sign types, including:
- A custom designed post & panel monument sign with 3D channel letters on a bright white background to emphasize the updated branding.
- Custom halo-lit channel letters and logo signage for the building facade.
- A selection of post and panel wayfinding signs.
Outcome
The new corporate sign installation was completed in the summer of 2024, on time and on budget, enabling ARMOR IIMAK to celebrate the merger and all of the opportunities that it generated for both organizations as they became one.
